Meet the Founder
Amadou Barry is a seasoned monitoring and evaluation expert with over ten years of experience in public health, specialising in immunisation data analysis, program management, and digital health innovations. My career has been dedicated to developing capacity-building strategies, ensuring data quality, and deploying visualisation tools that improve immunisation outcomes and drive data-driven decision-making.
Professional journey
Amadou Barry’s professional journey reflects a passion for leveraging data to drive meaningful change in public health.
As the Acting Data Manager for the Expanded Program on Immunisation at the Ministry of Health in The Gambia, he leads the development of cutting-edge data collection tools, streamlines reporting processes with Power BI dashboards, and empowers frontline health workers through capacity-building initiatives.
His prior role as a programme officer in the Ministry of Health sharpened his expertise in quality assurance, training, and data use.
Additionally, his time with ActionAid International and Shifo Foundation laid a solid foundation in health innovation, systems development, and crisis response, positioning him as a leading force in data-driven public health solutions.
Key achievement
- Supported the design, deployment and national adoption of Smart Paper Technology developed by Shifo Foundation
- Developed and launched comprehensive operational dashboards using microsoft Power BI to enhance timely, data-driven decision-making during supplementary immunisation activities
- Recognised as a leader in public health innovation by the Gambia association of Public Health Officers in 2024
- Awarded outstanding staff of the year by ActionAid International the Gambia in 2021 for excellence in Health Innovation
